Felton Man Charged with Drug Offenses

State Police have closed a drug investigation in Felton – with the arrest of one man on Wednesday.  31 year old Curtis Jones is charged with a variety of drug offenses after the State Police Kent County Drug Unit went into his Irish Hill Road home with a warrant and seized 41 grams of powdered cocaine and found a large tent in a bedroom being used to grow marijuana.  48 plants were found there in various stages of growth – 2 more plants were growing at the rear of the property.  Also seized – 2 boxes of ‘medical marijuana’ seeds, digital scale, several high capacity handgun ammunition magazines and a box of .38 caliber ammunition.  Jones was not at the house, but later turned himself in to police.  He’s being held at the VCC in default of $90,000 secured bond.
