Hebron Man Charged after March Burglary in West Ocean City

Jul 02, 2013 -- 3:42pm

The Worcester County Sheriff’s office has arrested Nicholas Vilkas of Hebron in connection with a burglary to a home on Harbor Master Boulevard in West Ocean City.  Sheriff’s deputies say he entered the home and took jewelry on March 28.  The victim notified sheriff’s deputies at a later date that additional jewelry was found missing.  Vilkas was identified as a suspect after a check of local pawn shop records where all the jewelry had been sold.  Vilkas confessed to the burglary and theft and is currently free on $15,000 unsecured bond pending trial.
