Jun 20, 2013 -- 6:56am

An elderly Hebron, Maryland man is free on his own recognizance, after being arrested this week by the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office for poking holes in packages of meat and moving chicken from refrigerated cases so they would spoil in a local supermarket.

60-year-old Steven Berry was arrested Tuesday; he’s charged with five counts of malicious destruction of property. Managers at the Hebron Food Rite contacted the Sheriff’s Office last month about the alleged tampering.
