Harrington Voters Elect New Mayor; Incumbents Returned to City Council

Harrington voters have elected a new mayor but are sending two incumbents back to the City Council.  Incumbent Fonda Coleman easily won over challenger Randolph Ferguson 50 to 24 votes in the District 3.  As for District 1, Wayne Porter topped challenger Stacey Sizemore by 9 votes – winning re-election 49 to 40.  In the Mayor’s race – Anthony Moyer was the top vote-getter with 293 to long-time mayor Robert “Gene” Price who won 244 votes.  The new mayor and council members will be sworn in at the start of the June City Council meeting.
