4 Arrested Following Dover Bank Robbery

Delaware State Police have arrested four people, including a Milton woman in connection with a bank robbery in Dover Monday afternoon.

Police say two men, 30-year-olds Larry Pierce and Phillip Yates, both from Dover walked into the M&T Bank on South State Street around 1:30 p.m.; both were armed with handguns and both demanded money from the tellers who complied and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash.  The two suspects then fled.

Pierce was arrested a short time later as he got out of a car on Richardson Circle and attempted to flee again. Shortly after that, Yates was picked up in a vehicle stopped on Cool Springs Road. Also arrested was the driver, 26-year-old Vanessa Singletary of Virginia and a passenger, 25-year-old Dashunda Harmon of Milton.

A search of the car revealed a loaded .32 caliber handgun and over 50 grams of marijuana.
