A 42-year-old Wilmington woman and her 16-year-old son have been arrested after being linked to three burglaries in Yorklyn.
Delaware State Police say the burglaries occurred during the evenings of March 14, 16, and 30, at Poured Foundations of Delaware on Creek Road. In each burglary, the building was broken into and metal construction supplies were stolen. In all, over $18,000 worth of metal was stolen.
Detectives were able to determine that Patricia Gustaitis had committed the burglaries with her 16-year-old son; after each burglary, the son sold the stolen metal as scrap.
The son was arrested, charged and released to a family member after posting bail. Patricia was released after posting $21,100 bail.
