Delaware State Police say investigators have taken a DNA sample from a man whose father walked into the New Castle Courthouse in Wilmington in February and shot and killed his ex-daughter-in-law and her best friend, shot and wounded two Capital police officers and then shot and killed himself.
Police say the DNA sample was taken from 46-year-old David Matusiewicz Wednesday; last week, he was sentenced to six months in federal prison for violating probation on kidnapping and fraud charges; the charges stemmed from the 2007 abduction of his underage daughters.
NO word on why the DNA sample was taken. Police would NOT comment when asked if they think David Matusiewicz was involved in the shooting with his father, Thomas.
