Three people have arrested by Delaware State Police on charges of heroin possession – ending a month-long investigation into drug sales at a western Sussex motel. Detectives set up surveillance on 27 year old Raymond Wood at the Greenwood Inn. Wood and 2 women were seen leaving a room and getting into a car. As they pulled out of the parking lot, police with active warrants out of Maryland for a violation of probation. However Wood accelerated the car in reverse – hitting a state police vehicle. Wood and the 2 women were arrested. A search of the motel room turned up 750 bags of heroin, a loaded handgun stolen during a burglary in Kent County and drug proceeds. Police also arrested 24 year old Charli Evans of Greenwood and 22 year old Dona Ferrell of Federalsburg.
