Wilmington Boy Shot in Hand by Brother

Wilmington Police say a 7-year-old boy was wounded in a shooting at a Wilmington home Monday night.

Officers were called to the home on Delamore Place around 10 p.m. for reports of a shooting; officers found the child with a gunshot wound to his hand.

An initial investigation revealed that the victim's 11-year-old brother found a gun in the home and fired it. NO charges have yet been filed.

The child who was shot was taken to Alfred I. DuPont Hospital for Children.
