Apr 19, 2013 -- 3:34pm

Barbeque enthusiasts will be pigging out and rocking out in Salisbury all weekend long.

The annual “Pork in the Park” Barbeque Festival will be celebrating its 10th anniversary this weekend. In addition to a wide variety of barbeque, The Marshall Tucker Band will be performing Saturday night from 8 to 10. The concert is free with admission to the festival. At noon on Sunday, Mountaire Farms will be presenting the first ever “Eastern Shore Wing War.” The competitions include a bracket-style “People’s Choice” wing contest among 16 area restaurants. At 2:30, there will be an amateur wing-eating competition, with the top “Wing Warrior” taking home $100. At 3, Major League Eating will host a pro wing-eating contest, featuring Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest champion Joey Chestnut.

The festival will be held at Winterplace Park from 4 o'clock this afternoon until 10 o’clock tonight, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday night, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m Sunday. Admission is $5.
