MERR Institute Volunteers Rescue Baby Seal from Inlet Rocks

Apr 11, 2013 -- 5:52pm

A small gray seal pup was rescued yesterday by volunteers from the MERR Institute after it fell in between the rocks on the south side of the Indian River Inlet.  The seal couldn’t get out herself and as the tide came in – volunteers were finally able to pull the seal out and then transferred her in a crate to a site north of the inlet where she was released back into the water.
