DNREC Enforcement Agents are getting busy as the weather warms. Last week they responded to 24 complaints and handed out 22 citations. Last Friday two Maryland residents were cited for lewdness and loitering to engage in sex or solicit another to engage in sex. The two were arrested at the C&D Canal Wildlife area. On the 30th a Seaford resident was cited for 2 counts of illegal possession of river herring. On the 31st agents began to investigate a pile of junk furniture and household trash at the C&D Canal Trail. Then on Tuesday an investigation was started into criminal mischief at the Phillips Landing public boat ramp where they knocked over the John Smith Monument and damaged several road signs.
