OCPD Finding Bogus Bills in Resort

Apr 05, 2013 -- 6:18pm

Counterfeit bills are turning up in Ocean City.  Since April 3 the OCPD has received five reports of bogus $10 and $20 bills passed at local businesses.  Police ask everyone to examine their currency closely – and look for 3 main security features – shifting inks on the dollar amount on the face side in the bottom right corner, security threads with the denomination embedded in the bill and a watermark on the face of the bill on the right side. Anyone with information – call OCPD at 410-520-5390
