The history and the future of agriculture, Delaware’s largest private industry will be highlighted in a new documentary.
The Delaware Department of Agriculture and the Delaware Humanities Forum are the sponsors of “Delaware Agriculture: Farming in the First State,” a 30-minute film that introduces viewers to the history of the state’s agriculture industry, and how widespread and varied farming is today. The film features old photos, interviews with six farmers, and footage of their farms. Ag Secretary Ed Kee is the narrator of the film.
The film will be shown on public television later this spring, as well as at a series of events hosted by the Humanities Forum. The trailer can be seen online at Content Delaware by clicking on the link entitled "Farming In The First State."
