BREAKING & UPDATED: DSP Arrest Suspect in Long Neck Bank Robbery

UPDATED - 8:30PM - A Millsboro man was arrested shortly after robbing the M & T Bank at Long Neck on Saturday morning just after 9:30.  Police say the man went into the bank with a gun, vaulted the counter and demanded cash.  He left on foot headed towards the Longneck Apartments.  The suspect, 32 year old Hakim Drake, was located at his apartment and after about an hour surrendered to police.  Police say the gun used during the robbery was a pellet gun. Drake was charged with three counts of robbery first degree, two counts of aggravated menacing, and wearing a disguise during the commission of a felony. He’s being held at SCI in default of $180,000 cash bail.  


UPDATED 2:55PM - State Police tell WGMD the suspect in this morning's bank robbery at the M &T Bank has been arrested.  WGMD will have more information as it becomes available.


State Police are searching the Long Neck area for the man who robbed the M&T Bank on the corner of Route 24 and Long Neck Road just after 9:30 this morning.  Police say the suspect did display a gun, but there’s no description of the suspect at this time.  Police activity in the area is likely to continue as the investigation progresses.
