There has been a lot of voting on budgets in the US Congress this week. Thursday the US House approved Representative Paul Ryan’s GOP budget however it was later defeated in the Senate by a 59 to 40 vote. Senator Chris Coons, who is a member of the Senate Budget Committee, yesterday said the Democrats plan and the GOP plan are dramatically different.
Coons say the Ryan Republican budget doesn’t promote responsible economic growth and it eliminates 2-million jobs in the first year alone. Five Republican Senators voted against the Ryan measure – including Susan Collins of Maine, Ted Cruz of Texas and Rand Paul of Kentucky.
