High School Students from Delaware's Sister State in Japan Visiting First Family Today

High school students from Delaware’s sister state in Japan will be visiting Governor Jack and First Lady Carla Markell this afternoon.

24 students from Sendai Nika High School in Miyagi, Japan will visit the First Family at Woodburn starting at 2 o’clock this afternoon. The students have been visiting Delaware through an exchange program with Appoquinimink High School and the Kizuna Foundation to talk about the recovery from the earthquake and tsunami disaster two years ago. Carla Markell visited with the students during the Governor’s trip to Japan back in December.
