Accomack Arson Number 68 Claims Building That Housed Farm Equipment

Mar 16, 2013 -- 6:54am

Another building has been burnt to the ground in Accomack County, Virginia. This time, it was dangerously close to an occupied home.

The fire was reported Thursday night at a building on Cashville and Evans Wharf Roads in Onancock. The building had been used to store farm equipment, and was a schoolhouse during the early 20th century.

Firefighters say all signs appear to indicate that this was another arson fire. If that’s confirmed, it would be the 68th arson in Accomack County since mid-November.
