Delaware’s Summer Feeding Program for Children will be expanding this summer.
The program will be serving 16,000 students who participate in the Free and Reduced Meals Program during the school year. The program will help income-eligible families buy healthy food for their kids during the summer.
The program is a joint effort with the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services and the Department of Education. The expansion of the program part of a two-year, $3.07 million grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
