An elderly Laurel man has been charged with driving under the influence after he ran into a Wicomico County Sheriff's deputy and a patrol vehicle, and kept going.
The Sheriff’s Office says the incident happened on Route 13 in Delmar where an officer and his partner were conducting a traffic stop; one of the officers saw the car, being driven by 71-year-old Ronald Moore coming; he managed to get out of the way but NOT before being clipped slightly. Moore also sideswiped the marked patrol car.
Moore is charged with DUI; he’s being held in lieu of $20,000 bail.
