Legislation for Gifted & Talented Program to be Proposed Monday

Legislation will be proposed on Monday for the creation of gifted and talented programs for Delaware Public Schools. The legislation, proposed by Lt Governor Matt Denn and legislative leaders, would create a mechanism to offer competitive 2-year start-up grants, would be available for gifted programming to schools at all levels K through 12 – they would follow a specific criteria outlined in the bill. Delaware currently has very few similar programs, however it is a program that would benefit children.
