Maryland State Police are investigating a high-speed chase Thursday night that killed a man.

Salisbury Police attempted to make a routine traffic stop on Camden Avenue near North Boulevard just after 10 p.m.; instead of stopping, the driver sped off. Police say the chase ended when the car crashed a short time later on Camden Avenue near Pine Bluff Road.

No word yet on the driver’s identity.
