A Greenwood man is in prison today after a police pursuit.

Delaware State Police say around 9:45 Tuesday night, 25-year-old Frank Lovett was traveling faster than the posted speed limit on Teatown Road in Milford. Officers from the Kent County Governor’s Task Force chased Lovett for five miles southwest of Milford. Police Lovett at times crossed the center line and was driving in the wrong direction. The chase ended when Lovett stopped on Unity Lane. Officers say they found .2 grams of marijuana inside the car. Four children, ages 1, 3, 5 and 9, were also inside. Only the 1-year-old was properly restrained.

Lovett has been charged with four counts each of first-degree reckless endangering and endangering the welfare of a child, driving with a suspended or revoked license, resisting arrest, drug and other charges. He’s being held at the Vaughn Correctional Center on $12,620 bond.
