A 34-year-old Dover man is behind bars at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center, being held in lieu of $41,500 bail for allegedly stabbing another man Tuesday morning.
Dover Police say they were called to the Kent Apartments on South New Street around 4:30 a.m.; officers say Charles Tilghman violated a no-contact order when he entered an apartment, grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed the 34-year-old victim in the chest.
Tilghman faces numerous charges, including 1st degree assault and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony.
The victim is in stable condition at BayHealth Medical Center.
