Salisbury PD Arrest Man for Burglary at Salvation Army

Feb 25, 2013 -- 3:56pm

Salisbury Police have arrested a Salisbury man in connection with a burglary at the Salvation Army on Oak Street.  An employee arrived to open for church on Sunday morning when they spotted a man trying to pry open a safe with a crow bar.  The man ran out but police were able to determine that the same man had come in the day before asking if anyone found his wallet and cell phone – and asked several times for the employee to check the safe.  The employee took the man’s name and phone number to contact him if the property was found.  20 year old Willie Lee Hope was charged with burglary and malicious destruction of property.
