Reward Increased for Info Leading to Arrest(s) in UMES Stabbing; No Classes Wed.

Feb 20, 2013 -- 3:55am

UMES is now offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of three suspects wanted for stabbing a 21-year-old student during homecoming festivities at the Princess Anne college over the weekend. This is in addition to the $2,000 reward being offered by Crime Solvers.

Investigators are seeking public assistance in identifying potential witnesses to the murder of Edmond St. Clair. The stabbing happened Saturday night; security has since been tightening on campus and students are being asked to take precautions and to NOT venture out alone.

Meantime, UMES has canceled all classes for Wednesday, designating it a "Day of Reflection." A vigil will be held at 11 a.m. at the performing arts center on campus. Counseling and prayer services will also be offered throughout the day.
