New Castle County Police have now identified a body found Monday morning on Delaview Avenue in Brandywine Hundred.

Paramedics and police were called to the scene just before 8 a.m.; 43-year-old Wayne Cappelli of Claymont was pronounced dead at the scene and police have now ruled his death a homicide.

An autopsy by the State Medical Examiner determined Cappelli had significant blunt force trauma to his upper body. Police say they believe Cappelli died Saturday night, after being assaulted.
