Governor Jack Markell has announced a new round of funding to promote financial and economic literacy in Delaware.
Markell announced a third round of grant funding through the state’s Financial Literacy Education Fund, which helps schools and non-profits promote financial and economic literacy for Delawareans of all ages. Last year, 22 organizations throughout the state received financial support through the fund.
Schools and 501(c)(3) nonprofit groups can apply for up to $350,000 in grants to support financial literacy programs. Applications are due by March 18.
The program is funded through the license fees for payday and car title loan businesses.
