Governor Markell’s Weekly Message this week is Finding Hope in the Wake of Tragedies.  While many are still reeling from the tragic shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School – this week senseless violence and loss of life occurred in our own backyard – in a courthouse lobby in Wilmington.  However while three people died, Capitol Police used their training and responded quickly – limiting the number of casualties.  There has been other good to come of the incident.  As the courthouse reopened – a group of people gathered outside to offer coffee and hugs.  Heroes do exist – and could be the person right next to you!  Governor Markell says it’s that sense of hope that keeps Delaware moving forward.
