The New Castle County Courthouse is open for business again following the deadly shooting there earlier this week.
The courthouse resumed its normal operations yesterday. The Delaware Department of Justice says counselors will be available through the end of today for courthouse employees and others who witnessed the shooting on Monday that left three people dead, including the shooter, and wounded two Capitol Police officers. State Supreme Court Justice Myron Steele expressed the Judicial Branch’s appreciation for the outpouring of support the court system has received since Monday. He also thanked the police officers, firefighters and paramedics who responded to the shooting.
If anyone needs assistance after today, they can call the Delaware State Police Victim Center at 1-800-8428461 or the Employee Assistance Program at 1-800-343-2186.
