Senator Tom Carper voted to end a filibuster of the nomination of former Senator Chuck Hagel as Secretary of Defense.  Carper is disappointed in those in the Senate who he feels are playing political games and blocking a qualified candidate for the position.  The senior Senator says actions like this filibuster exemplify the dysfunction and obstruction that is rampant in Congress.  He says Hagel deserves and up or down vote – Carper is ready to vote yes.
