Delaware’s Congressional Delegation has introduced legislation to create a national park in Delaware. The First State National Historical Park Act of 2013 would create a park that celebrates early American Dutch, Swedish and English Settlements throughout Delaware as well as the state’s role in events that lead to the founding of our nation. Senator Tom Carper has introduced legislation to establish a national park in Delaware in the past 2 Congresses – and each time progress has been made.
