DNREC officials are working to recover about 1600 gallons of diesel fuel that spilled over the weekend at a DelDOT facility near St Georges. The spill was contained by a retention pond and it’s not believed the oil reached a nearby stream. The facility was used to fuel vehicles during storm operations over the weekend – the spill was discovered this morning.Clean-up costs are estimated to be about $50,000.
