UPDATED STORY 10:10 A.M.:  Power has been restored to an estimated 1,500 Delaware Electric Co-Op customers.

Downed wires were the cause of the hour-long outage.

9:45 a.m.:  Right now 1,500 members are without power near Millsboro.

The Co-Op says wires are down in the area and crews have been dispatched to the scene to figure out what happened.

The DEC hopes to restore power soon.
