Somerset County Getting More Money for Sandy Aid

Feb 07, 2013 -- 4:08am

Somerset County is getting more money for Superstorm Sandy aid thanks to the federal government.

Maryland Senators Barbara Mikulski and Ben Cardin announced  Wednesday that the Department of Housing and Urban Development would award $8.6 million in Community Development Block Grants to help Somerset County recover from last October’s storm.

County officials say the money will go towards repairing severely damaged housing, roads and bridges.
