Program For Parents, Guardians of Teen Drivers Now Available Online

Feb 06, 2013 -- 6:23pm

A program for parents of new teen drivers in Delaware is now available online.

The Graduated Driver License Parent Orientation Program is now available at the Delaware Office of Highway Safety’s website. The program explains why the Graduated Driver License law was put into place in Delaware starting in 1999, and gives parents and guardians resources to teach their teens how to drive responsibly. The program also teaches parents what responsibilities and liabilities they have with a newly licensed driver.

Parents are NOT required to complete the program in order for their kids to get their learner’s permits.
