Delaware high school juniors can now sign up to take the SAT in school later this spring.
Juniors can register between now and April 3 to take the SAT exam in school on April 17. The in-school testing is paid for with part of the $119 million grant Delaware received from the federal Race to the Top program. Secretary of Education Mark Murphy says that since many colleges and universities require students to score at least a certain amount on the SAT for admission, every high school junior, regardless of whether or not they have the means or incentive to take the test on their own, will now be able to take the test.
