The owners of Burton Brothers Hardware Store in Seaford have announced that they will NOT re-build following a fire that heavily damaged the building on High Street last November.
Burton Brothers Hardware opened in 1893 and was listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
Co-owners Ronny and Ricky Marvel says the decision NOT to re-open was made because of the extensive damage done to the building.
The State Fire Marshal’s ruled that a faulty electric wire in the building’s walls sparked the blaze and caused $500,000 in damage.
