Cape Henlopen School Board Votes to Remove Entire Summer Reading List

The Cape Henlopen School District has voted to abolish the entire summer reading list.

The district will return to its previous requirements, requiring college preparatory students read one book and honors students read two.

The district had banned the novel “The Miseducation of Cameron Post” because of foul language, although the school board was accused of making its decision based on the sexual orientation of the main character.
