WGMD News has learned that Alex Pires and Highway One have withdrawn his proposal to the Sussex County for his proposed county music festival.

In a letter sent to the Sussex County Council, Highway One’s attorney, Stephen Spence, explains that Pires has taken note of the many concerns the residents had about the plan and the insufficient detail.

The letter states that the withdrawal will allow the county to properly consider the request on its merits, rather than the initial misunderstanding.
